Wie man sicher handelt und wie TradeGat Shield beide Seiten schützt.
Never send money simply because a seller appears online or has a marketplace profile.
How TradeGat verifies businesses
Verification is layered: business, identity, address, factory, product, export and financial identity are separate checks. Each one records who verified it, when, and when it must be reviewed again. A submitted document is never treated as a verified document.
How to verify a supplier
Open the supplier's Verification Passport and read which levels are verified and when they were last checked. Ask for the registration number on the passport and confirm it against the official registry of the supplier's country. Request a live video call from inside the stated facility.
How to avoid fraud
Be cautious with prices far below market, pressure to decide immediately, refusal to do a video call, inconsistent company names across documents, and requests to move the conversation off the platform early.
Safe payment practices
Pay a company account whose name matches the verified legal entity. Use traceable bank transfers or letters of credit for large orders. Stage payments against inspection and shipping milestones rather than paying in full up front.
Bank account change warnings
If payment details change mid-transaction, stop. Call the company on a number you already had — not one from the new email — and confirm the change before sending anything. TradeGat flags recent payment changes on supplier profiles.
Off-platform and third-party payment warnings
Requests to pay a personal account, a third-party company, or an individual are the most common pattern in trade fraud. This does not automatically mean fraud, but it always means additional verification is required.
How to verify documents
Check issuer, issue date, expiry date and reference number, then verify the reference directly with the issuing body. Certificates that cannot be checked at source should be treated as unverified claims.
How to report suspicious activity
Report a listing, message or business from its page, or contact TradeGat with the TradeGat Business ID. Reports are reviewed by the verification team and can trigger additional verification or suspension.
How disputes work
A dispute moves through defined stages: open, under review, evidence requested, mediation and resolution. Both sides submit evidence, and every decision is recorded in the case history.
Verification source network
TradeGat is building modular connections to official registries, customs and trade authorities, chambers of commerce and certification bodies. We only claim a source once it is genuinely in use — everything else is listed honestly as not yet connected.

Important buyer notice
TradeGat makes extensive efforts to verify businesses and sellers using available official sources, submitted documentation, independent verification, inspection and other appropriate methods. However, verification cannot guarantee that every transaction, product, shipment or business relationship will be completely free of risk.
Buyers should always conduct appropriate due diligence before completing a transaction, especially for high-value transactions. Verify:
Company identity
Product specifications
Contract terms
Payment details
Shipping terms
Bank account information
Certifications
Inspection requirements
TradeGat provides verification and safety tools, but the final decision to proceed with a transaction remains with the buyer.
