Marketplace Rules

Listing and advertising rules for products, urgent trade, sourcing requests, offers, factories and verification claims on TradeGat.

1. Who may publish

Every listing belongs to one organisation. You may only create, edit or remove listings for an organisation you are a member of. The platform enforces this on the server: attempts to publish or modify content under another organisation are rejected.

2. Products

  • Title, description, images, unit, MOQ, lead time and origin must describe the actual product offered.
  • Certifications listed on a product must be held by the publishing organisation and evidenced on request.
  • Price ranges and wholesale price tiers must be genuine and honoured for the stated quantity bands.
  • OEM, ODM and private-label capability may only be claimed where it is actually offered.

3. Urgent Sale listings

An urgent listing must state a real reason (overstock, cancelled order, clearance, model change and similar), a real available quantity, and a real urgent price.

A reference price is treated as an unverified claim by default. Only TradeGat review can mark a reference price as verified, so a seller cannot generate a "verified discount" from a price they set themselves. Changing the reference price resets that state.

4. Urgent Buy and sourcing requests

Sourcing requests must describe a genuine intent to buy, with realistic quantity, destination and deadline. Requests may not be used to harvest supplier pricing without any purchasing intent, or to advertise goods for sale.

5. Supplier offers and buyer decisions

Only the buyer who published a sourcing request may shortlist, reject or award an offer. Suppliers may submit, edit or withdraw their own quote and nothing else — self-shortlisting or self-awarding is rejected by the platform. Offers are private between the buyer and the supplier who submitted them.

6. Verification claims and badges

Verification badges are issued only by TradeGat review. Submitting a document does not make a business, factory or product verified: submissions stay pending until a reviewer decides, and organisations cannot set their own verification status, verified dates or reviewer fields. Claiming or implying a verification level you do not hold is a breach of these rules. See Trust & Verification and the Verification & Trust Rules.

7. Company, factory and service listings

Company profiles, factory records and trade service listings must describe facilities and capabilities that genuinely belong to the organisation. Only published organisations appear in public directories; suspended or unpublished organisations are removed from public listings.

8. Prohibited listings

  • Counterfeit, replica or otherwise infringing goods.
  • Goods that are illegal to sell or export from the stated origin, or to import into the stated destination.
  • Weapons, controlled substances, protected wildlife and other restricted categories.
  • Misleading pricing, fake stock, duplicate spam listings, or contact-harvesting listings.
  • Requests to move payment off-platform to personal or third-party accounts.

The full list is in Prohibited Activities & Content.

9. Advertising

Paid placements are governed by the Ad Policy. Advertising is always labelled as sponsored, is reviewed before publication, and never grants verification, Trust Score or organic ranking. TradeGat does not accept advertising or transaction financing based on interest-bearing lending, and all financial advertising requires human review.

10. Enforcement

Listings that breach these rules can be unpublished, and the organisation can lose verification levels or be suspended. Report a listing or business with its TradeGat Business ID through the Safety Center.

Verification on TradeGat reflects evidence reviewed by our team. It is not a guarantee of any transaction outcome. See Vertrauen & Verifizierung and the Sicherheitszentrum.
