AI Interpretation

AI Interpretation Policy

The AI interpreter helps two companies understand each other during a live negotiation. It is optional, it is never a certified translation, and it never records your meeting.

1. Not a certified or legal translation

Interpretation on TradeGat is produced by machine translation. It is an aid to understanding during a conversation. It can be inaccurate, it carries no legal standing, and it is not a certified, sworn, notarised or court-admissible translation.

Anything binding stands on the original language text only: contracts, the negotiation summary, purchase terms, documents, and anything relied on in a dispute. Where a certified translation is required, obtain one from a qualified professional translator.

2. How it works

Each participant chooses the language they speak and the language they want to read. When interpretation is switched on, short slices of your microphone audio are transcribed and translated, and the reading appears as captions in the room. Room chat messages can also be translated on request; the original message always stays visible next to the translation.

Arabic, English and Chinese are available first. Further languages are added over time. Spoken translated audio is not offered in this release.

3. No recording, no stored audio

TradeGat does not record negotiations. The interpreter does not change that. Audio slices are processed to produce captions and are then discarded — nothing is written to our database or to file storage, and no audio or video of a negotiation is retained at any point.

Turning the interpreter off stops microphone capture immediately.

4. Optional text log, by mutual consent

By default nothing is kept: captions live in your browser for the session and disappear when the room closes. A text-only log can be kept for a negotiation, but only while both companies have agreed to it in that room. If either side has not agreed, or withdraws its agreement, no further entries can be written.

The log contains text only — the recognised speech and its translation. It is visible only to the participants of that negotiation, entries cannot be edited after the fact, and either party can delete the entire log at any time, which removes it for both sides.

5. Confidentiality and model training

Negotiation content is confidential. TradeGat does not use private conversations, captions or interpreter logs to train models, and instructs the interpretation provider that the content is confidential and must not be retained or used for training.

Interpretation runs through a provider abstraction. The provider in use is engaged only for the duration of a request, and processing is limited to what is needed to return the caption.

6. Your controls

  • Interpretation is off until you switch it on, for each participant separately.
  • You choose your spoken language and your reading language at any time.
  • Microphone capture stops the moment you stop interpreting or leave the room.
  • The text log requires the agreement of both companies and can be deleted by either.
  • Chat translation is on request only; the original text is never replaced.

AI interpretation is a convenience feature and does not affect verification, Trust Score or any commercial standing on TradeGat. See the 隐私政策 and AI Trade.
